Mary Jo Eustace doesn't believe that beauty should be painful.
The Divorce Sucks author recently shared insight into some of the more difficult beauty procedures she's undergone over the years and why she's not interested in continuing with treatments that hurt.
"I tried Morpheus8, which is a great procedure, I'm not knocking it," Mary Jo exclusively told E! News at the DPA Pre-Emmy Gifting Lounge, "but it's very painful."
And while she does note that you are given numbing cream, it only works "to a certain extent."
"It actually injures your skin to get results," she revealed. "And it was a little painful. I have a lot of friends who've done that, and they're not going to do it again because of the pain factor."
The 62-year-old also shared that she has tried Botox, but found the injections quite unpleasant, too.
So when she started looking for "something that was completely non-invasive and something that wouldn't hurt," her friends Phaedra Park and Brandi Glanville suggested she try CellSound, a new procedure which slims and tightens skin.
And not only was Mary Jo "shocked by the results," the procedure was, as her friends promised, not painful at all.
"CellSound technology is so relaxing," she explained. "When I did the whole treatment, I kind of fell asleep. It's like a really cool massage and kind of like a tingling. And it tightens your skin."
But it's not just the technology that she relies on, as Mary Jo told E! she maintains an active lifestyle.
"I do hot yoga, I hike, I play tennis," she added. "I love activity, which is really good mentally and physically."
Keeping in shape is especially important, as it helps her keep up with her children: son Jack, 25—whom she shares with ex-husband Dean McDermott—and daughter, Lola, 19.
And while Mary Jo is no longer navigating the coparenting journey now that Jack is an adult, she did offer a message of support as his dad navigates his breakup with Tori Spelling.
And she especially wishes Tori and Dean well for the sake of their children, Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, and Finn, 11, and Beau, 7.
"For the health and welfare of the kids," she continued, "I hope it's handled with respect. I wish them the best."
